Road connecting to Phuoc An port through Long Tho commune and Phuoc An commune, belong to Nhon Trach district, was designed urban road type III, with a length of about 11km, the design speed of 60 km/h, 2 lanes, the first point connecting with Tran Phu Street (road 319), through the intersection with Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway, through the logistic zone and ends at gate of Phuoc An port.
In the past, Phuoc An Port Project consists of 3 parts: the Port, the Logistic and road connecting to the port, in which the road will be undertaken role of cargo transportation by land from Phuoc An port to logistic zone, other destination and vice versa. The road has intersection with Ben Luc-Long Thanh expressway, direct connection with inter-port road, so the road has an important role in connecting; shortening the distance & travel time of cargo transportation from Nhon Trach district to the Mekong Delta provinces, Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria Vung Tau province and neighboring provinces. For Dong Nai province and Nhon Trach District, investing the road will contribute to improve traffic system as planned, therefore Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee has Dispatch No 4657/UBND-CNN dated 19/06/2015 on approved policy of investing Road connecting to Phuoc An Port under BOT form.
Currently, the investment procedures, land acquisition compensation of road has completed basically, PetroVietnam Phuoc An Port Investment & Operation Joint Stock Company (PAP) has summited document of construction Road connecting to Phuoc An Port under BOT form to Dong Nai’s Department of Transportation. After the departments approved, Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee will invite investors participating in project of Road connecting Phuoc An Port under BOT form.
