Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway

Currently, Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway project invested by Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) is completing preparation works to start construction in 2012.

Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway project with a total length of 57.8 km is divided into two phases. Accordingly, in the first phase of the project, the investors will build the expressway with four lanes, 27.5 metres wide and will be expanded into eight lanes in second phase with 42.5 metres wide, the expressway will be built under expressway standard-Level A with designed speed of 120 km/h. As planned, the first phase of the project will be conducted within the period of 2012 – 2017.

Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway project with 28.7 km goes through Dong Nai province of which more than 3 km goes through the Logistics area of Phuoc An Port will create big advantage in connecting the logistic zone to important provinces and cities in the Southern Focal Economic Region, especially Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Ba Ria Vung Tau and Long An. Together with the completing expansion of National Road 51 and Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway earlier, Phuoc An Port project will become the traffic connection center of the region and cargo transportation through Phuoc An port and logistics zone will be able to shorten the distance, saving time & transportation costs from Dong Nai to HCM City, Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Long An and vice versa, thereby improving the investment efficiency of industrial zones in the region and contributing to the socioeconomic development of provinces and cities in the South.
